Privacy Notice

This notice explains, in plain language, what personal data One Life Club collects, why, and what your rights are under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

2. What data we collect and why

• Visiting the website. When you open this site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, date and time, and the pages requested. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.
• Fonts and icons. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons (Font Awesome) from the cdnjs network run by Cloudflare. To do this, your browser connects to their servers, which receive your IP address.
• Membership applications and interest registration. The “Apply to Join” and “Register interest” buttons lead to our application form. What you enter is sent to and stored by our email provider, Mailchimp: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, what you most want to improve and, if you choose to share it, a 90-day goal. We use these details to review your application, contact you on WhatsApp and send you updates about membership and meetups. Mailchimp may record whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked.
• WhatsApp and phone contact. If you message or call us, we process your phone number, name or profile name, and the content of your messages to reply to your enquiry. WhatsApp messages are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta).

This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or its own cookies. If a Mailchimp confirmation page or WhatsApp opens, those pages are run by those providers and are covered by their own privacy policies.

We only share your data with the service providers listed below.

3. Service providers and transfers abroad

We use the following providers to run this website and our communication:

• Replit, Inc. (USA): website hosting
• Intuit Inc. / Mailchimp (USA): membership applications and email updates
• WhatsApp / Meta Platforms (Ireland and USA): messaging
• Google (Ireland and USA): Google Fonts
• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): cdnjs, used to deliver icons

Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland, including in the USA, which may not offer the same level of data protection as Switzerland. Where required, these transfers rely on the safeguards the providers offer, such as certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

4. How long we keep your data

• Application and mailing list data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Messages and enquiries: as long as needed to answer you and for any follow-up, then deleted unless the law requires us to keep them longer (for example, accounting records).
• Technical data held by our providers: according to their own retention periods.

5. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal data we hold about you, and to correct or delete it. You can also object to our use of your data, withdraw any consent you have given, and in some cases ask for your data in a common electronic format. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
